I dislike cluttering up my menu bar with applications. I don’t really see the point when the Dock is already providing enough of its own clutter. Tweetie and Twitterrific both kindly offer options to disable their menu bar icons. This tip shows you how to replace Dropbox’s menu icon with a few transparent ones.
I’ve read this isn’t a problem for 10.5 (Leopard), but good to note for future reference.
If you subscribe to a season pass of a show in iTunes, you can set Mail to run this script whenever you get an email that a new episode is available. It’ll have iTunes download the episode and then delete the message.
Seems like it only syncs calendars and contacts now, not push mail. I haven’t tested it out yet.
Very useful. For some games you need the F1-F12 keys to be function keys, but normally I want them to control volume, show Dashboard, etc. Save this script as an application, put it in your Dock, and it will open System Preferences and toggle the checkbox.

Open up Terminal (in Applications/Utilties) and type this in:
defaults write "Apple Global Domain" AppleScrollBarVariant DoubleBoth
It’ll place a pair of up/down buttons at both ends of your scroll bars, instead of just at one end.

Gmail recently added the ability to check POP mail, and just dropped the restriction that the feature wouldn’t work with other Gmail accounts, so you can now import your old non-Gmail mail. It’s not quite simple, but it works nicely.
