As great as Dr. Horrible is, I don’t think it ever tried to change how movies are made. Whedon had other things to do, which in a way is unfortunate, since I think he’s one of the few people with a built-in fanbase who could truly go out on his own. This may not be something he’s interested in, but after Firefly, Angel, and Dollhouse’s cancellations, I’m sure he’d love not having studios hold all the cards. (via)
